Jefferies Group, LLC chose Forest Electric New York (Forest NY) to perform electrical work for their new offices and trading floors, install a new data center, and furnish a new generator room. The standby generator ensures that the client always have power available for their operations.
Forest NY carefully phased the project so that Jefferies could seamlessly conduct business during renovations. Our team built and installed the new data center during the first phase of construction.
With a now-live data center, we carefully planned and coordinated all subsequent main and intermediate distribution frame room tie-ins so that the client could continue their business without interruption.
We successfully delivered the project ahead of its demanding schedule.
Client Objectives
Jefferies sought to renovate nine floors of their offices at 520 Madison Avenue.
Solutions
Forest NY installed one 1,500-kilowatt diesel generator with duct-mounted load banks and a remote radiator. We rigged this equipment through the side of the building up from the street level to the 14th floor.
We also wired:
- Five automatic transfer switches
- Two 500-kilowatt uninterruptable power systems
- Paralleling switchgear
- Two power distribution units
- RX panels
- A chiller plant
