Forest Electric New York (Forest NY) to furnished and installed a new telecommunications and power infrastructure, access control security, and sound masking systems at this state-of-the-art office space.
Forest NY provided end-to-end project management for all electrical services. In order to meet all critical deadlines and move-in dates, we provided on-site supervision for the project’s large work force. Our team achieved early turnover of the new main information technology (IT)/telecom distribution room and intermediate distribution rooms for each new office floor.
Client Objectives
L’Oréal was relocating their office to a new, state-of-the-art space at 10 Hudson Yards Tower C, which would provide expanded telecommunications and power capabilities.
Solutions
Forest NY furnished and installed a complete IT and telecom cabling infrastructure system, as well as state-of-the-art access control security, video surveillance, and sound masking systems throughout all new floors.
Throughout the building, we installed:
- Power under a raised floor for nine floors of open office space
- Custom lighting fixtures
- Fully-integrated lighting controls system
For the redundant backup power setup, we provided two 200-kilovolt-amp uninterrupted power system (UPS) modules. The UPS modules supply power to each floor’s intermediate distribution frame rooms via above-ceiling conduit racks.
We completed fit outs for both the professional salon suite and company store, featuring:
- Recessed light fixtures
- Hair dryers
- A VIP room for photo shoots
- Decorative lighting fixtures in a cloud ceiling design
- Designated power supply for point-of-sale computer system
Finally, we built out a 26,000-square-foot commercial kitchen, installing a complex kitchen equipment-monitoring control system and two heavy-duty dishwashing rooms.
