Dechert, LLP contracted Forest Electric New York (Forest NY) to provide complete electrical services for six floors of their offices, including five floors of partners’ and associates’ offices, and one floor of conference rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens.
Forest NY’s engineering department helped find pathways for the project’s complex conduit configurations. We also coordinated closely with other trades to help enable timely installation.
Client Objectives
Dechert sought to increase their office space and build attractive environments for client meetings and presentations.
Solutions
Forest NY installed over 3,400 lighting fixtures for both normal and emergency purposes throughout all six floors. The 80-plus types of lighting included downlights, cove lights, and recessed fluorescents.
We also installed:
- Dimming systems in the conference rooms
- 10,000 feet of 1.25-inch conduit for audio-visual equipment
- Advanced energy-saving lighting control systems
- High- and low-voltage panels in electrical closets
- Power for HVAC equipment
- Pre-action fire alarm system
Finally, we mounted fire detection devices throughout each floor, which all connect back to the main system.
