Forest Electric New York (Forest NY) installed general power, lighting, fire alarm, life safety, and security systems for Sprint’s new 77,000-square-foot web-hosting facility. To deliver the project on-schedule, Forest NY employed a dedicated 130-person team that worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Solutions
Our team installed:
- General power and lighting systems, including:
- Six uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems and associated battery racks
- Six main distribution units
- 18 power distribution units with associated panels
- Static switches and harmonic filters
- A switchboard room, housing switchgear, UPS equipment, and battery racks
- 85 risers, pulled from the basement to 10th floor and roof
- Approximately 7,000 feet of rooftop aluminum conduit
- Fire alarm systems
- Life safety and security systems
We also installed four electrical generators, which required an extensive amount of emergency power backup equipment to protect the client’s mission-critical, web-based business.
