Director of Project Accounting
Steve provides the accounting expertise required to ensure accurate billing procedures and optimum project cost control. His responsibilities include overseeing much of the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, while paying special attention to the financial aspects of contracts valued at $10-million and up.
Working closely with project managers, Steve helps calculate ongoing project expenses, keep projects within the estimated amounts, and resolve any potential problems. Regardless of the activity, however, his goal is always to increase the company’s ability to maintain its high-quality project capabilities, while delivering the effective solutions and ongoing value clients expect from one of the region’s most reliable and successful electrical contractors.
Steve has spent his entire 30-year career with Forest Electric. During that time, he has worked in accounts payable, accounts receivable, project accounting, and virtually every other company department. The result is the comprehensive expertise and extensive experience necessary for maximum understanding of the company’s accounting processes and procedures. This is a major factor in the company’s ability to ensure effective cost control and consistently on-budget project completion.
Steve earned a bachelor's degree in literature from Oneonta College of the State University of New York.
The Personal Side
