Richard is responsible for managing daily operations for Forest Electric New York (Forest NY), as well as our long-term vision. Applying his extensive industry and systems expertise, Richard helps ensure we deliver the electrical solutions our clients need to meet today's demanding energy and facilities challenges.

On an operational level, Richard participates in key project decisions, meets with clients and general contractors, visits jobsites, and maintains continuous communications with project teams.

He also coordinates project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and the estimating department to help maintain high-quality service, effective working relationships, and productive operations.

In addition, Richard plays a vital role in new business development. He initiates bids, assists with estimate and proposal development, and monitors the proposal presentation, review, and acceptance process.

Richard is committed to building long-term relationships, and ensuring complete client satisfaction, based on consistent delivery of high-performance systems and services.

Expertise

Richard began his electrical industry career in 1989, when he joined Forest NY as a project manager. In that position, he handled some of the company's most challenging projects for clients in financial services and healthcare markets. As a result, he was promoted to serve as Vice President in charge of the company's project management department.

In 1998, he became the youngest member of Forest NY’s executive committee, overseeing project operations for both Forest NY and Forest Datacom.

In 2005, Richard left Forest NY to head his own company, where he handled all aspects of the business, from new business development to project delivery. In 2010, he rejoined Forest NY, and in 2012 was named Chief Operating Officer.

Richard holds a a Master of Business Administration with a specialty in finance from Fordham University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Richard is also a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association.

The Personal Side

Richard and his wife have three children. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, skiing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He also stays active in his community, where he is involved in various philanthropic and charitable organizations.
