In 1998, he became the youngest member of Forest's executive committee, overseeing project operations for both Forest Electric and Forest Datacom.
In 2005, Richard left Forest Electric to head his own company, Fresh Meadow Communications and Electrical Contracting. During his tenure in that position, he handled all aspects of the business, from new business development to project delivery. In 2010, he rejoined Forest Electric in his current post.
